Most patients recover within 3 to 5 days, but healing times vary. Following post-operative care instructions may help speed up recovery and reduce discomfort.

Strenuous activities should be avoided for about a week after extraction. Once pain subsides and medication is no longer needed, normal exercise routines can resume. If there are concerns, a dentist can provide advice on resuming physical activities safely.

Swelling usually peaks around the third day and gradually subsides. Applying ice within the first 48 hours may help control inflammation. The healing process will be monitored to ensure it is progressing as expected.
